About the Role
This role keeps Jira working as the central tool for planning, tracking, and reporting project delivery at FIS. It combines hands-on platform administration with daily oversight of how project teams use the system. The successful candidate will configure and maintain Jira, check that project records are complete and current, build workflows and automation that save teams time, and produce reports that show managers where work is late, blocked, or overloaded.
Projects at FIS follow waterfall, agile, or hybrid approaches, and Jira must support each one as agreed with the project. In practice, this means turning agreed processes into clear statuses, approvals, and completion rules while keeping report definitions the same across all projects, so results can be compared. The role works closely with Project Managers, Delivery Leads, project team members, and IT and Information Security.
The jobholder owns Jira administration, configuration quality, and report preparation within delegated authority. Project Managers and delivery owners remain accountable for commitments, priorities, estimates, and the accuracy of their teams' updates. Changes to shared configurations, security settings, paid applications, project baselines, or record deletion need approval from the designated owner. The position suits a methodical Jira professional who values accuracy, follows issues through to closure, and looks for ways to cut manual effort
