Job description

Interior Design Manager - Healthcare

Reporting to the Project Director and/or Senior Design Manager, you will be involved in the design management of major projects or a portfolio of smaller projects across the programme of works that consist of up to 200 building projects. This will lead from early design development, detailed design and then once the construction contracts have been awarded manage the interior design aspects of the project through delivery to hand over, ensuring quality, safety, time and cost parameters are met or exceeded. Responsible for the Design Management through the full life cycle of this section of a major programme of works. The projects will be in the healthcare field and likely, a major new Hospital.

Responsible for:

• Technical reviews of tender returns.
• Design progress and reporting.
• Standard setting and providing robust comment on design reports.
• Compliance of design documents with the brief.
• Oversight of delivery.

Experience / Qualifications

• Degree Qualification is Essential.
• Minimum of 10 years Post Graduate experience is essential.
• International experience is NOT essential.
• High End Building or Major Project experience is essential.
• A Main Contracting, Management Contracting, Construction Management, Project Management or Engineering background are all acceptable.
• Must have experience with well recognized, blue-chip construction organisations.
• Candidates MUST be prepared to live and work in the location of the project.
• Must be able to demonstrate longevity in previous work history.
