Job summary

Sharq Insuranceشرق للتأمين is seeking an Internal Auditor to support the Head of Internal Audit in managing and executing department activities. You will ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, laws, and regulatory requirements while evaluating risk management, internal controls, governance, and compliance.

Responsibilities include performing audits across financial and operational areas, assisting in annual risk assessments, identifying control weaknesses, and reporting findings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Part-qualified ACCA, CIA, or CPA candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit activities and assignments delegated by the Head of Internal Audit in compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Support the execution of audits across financial, operational (Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance), compliance, AML, and other audits to evaluate internal controls and risk.
• Assist in annual risk assessment to support risk-based audit plans addressing key business risks.
• Execute audit procedures to identify control weaknesses, process inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Examine financial documents and transactions to verify accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal requirements.
• Summarize findings, conclusions, and recommendations for management review.
• Develop and maintain audit programs, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in special projects directed by the Head of Internal Audit.
