Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) in Qatar is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician (CAT B) with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, calibration, installation and maintenance of process instruments across transmitters, switches, analyzers, vibration instrumentation and valves.

You will work within safety and permit-to-work processes, reading drawings, and communicating in English in a large-scale industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in respective trade (12+3 years).
• 5+ years hands-on experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industries.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, inspect, test and perform preventive maintenance on transmitters, switches, analyzers, vibration instrumentation, and valves.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, configure and test instruments using hand tools and test instruments.
• Install, remove, and adjust vibration probes as required by machine.
• Follow safety requirements, permit-to-work systems, and PPE usage in a fertilizer plant.
• Prepare basic reports and communicate findings in written and spoken English.
