Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking an Instrument Technician (CAT B) in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on hands-on troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of process instruments within a fertilizer plant environment.

Shifts will involve working with transmitters, switches, analyzers, vibration instrumentation, and valves, with a strong emphasis on safety and PPE compliance in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in the respective trade (12+3 years)
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industries

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, inspect, test and perform preventive maintenance on Instrumentation (Transmitters, Switches, Analyzers, Vibration instruments)
• Work with valves and valve accessories, ensuring performance and reliability
• Maintain awareness of PPE usage in a Fertilizer Plant

Responsibilities:

• Shall have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of the following types of Instruments
• Transmitters (Pressure, Level, Flow, Temperature)
• Switches (Pressure, Level, Flow, Temperature)
• Analyzers (pH and Conductivity)
• Vibration Instrumentation (Accelerometers, Velometers, Proximity Probes, Speed Probes, Proximitors)
• Valves (Control Valves, On-Off Valves, Solenoid Valves)
• Valve Accessories (Solenoid Valves, Valve Pneumatic and Electropneumatic Positioners, Pneumatic Relays, Air Regulators and Filters, Lubricators)
• Shall have an awareness with PPEs used in a Fertilizer Plant

Qualifications:

• Technical Diploma in respective trade (12+3 years)
• 05 years relevant and hands-on experience in respective trade, in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry and competency.
