Job summary

GulfDesign UAE in Doha is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our operations team. You will install, maintain and repair instruments, read schematics, and work with control systems to ensure safe, reliable plant performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of various types of instruments and control systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

We are hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Doha.

Key Responsibilities

• Install maintain and repair various types of instruments such as pressure gauges temperature sensors flow meters level indicators etc
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments and control systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on instruments to ensure optimal performance
• Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer specifications
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any malfunctions or defects
• Collaborate with other technicians to ensure all equipment is functioning properly
• Follow safety protocols and procedures when working with hazardous materials

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of various types of instruments and control systems
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or at heights if required

Preferred

• Previous experience working in the oil gas industry or petrochemical plants
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers PLCs
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems CMMS
