Job summary

Employment is seeking an IT Network Specialist/Engineer to deploy and manage complex Cisco networks, IP telephony, and cloud networking across Azure and GCP. The role requires strong problem solving, team collaboration, and independence.

The ideal candidate has a IT or CS degree and holds or is pursuing CCNA/CCNP/PCNSA with hands-on experience in Nexus, ACI, 3850/9300, F5, and firewall solutions, ensuring secure, scalable network operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, AZ900, AZ700 are preferred but not Mandatory.
• Proven experience with Cisco networking equipment and software.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
• A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable and flexible when necessary.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Cisco network devices including Nexus 7k switches, Cisco ACI, Cisco 3850/9300 access switches, and Wireless Controllers.
• Set up and maintain Cisco IP Telephony systems for seamless voice communication.
• Manage F5 load balancers to optimize network traffic and ensure redundancy.
• Configure and maintain various firewall solutions, including Cisco FTD, ASA, Palo Alto, and Fortinet, to protect network resources.
• Administer VPN solutions such as Cisco Any Connect and Site-to-Site VPNs, ensuring secure remote access and inter-site connectivity.
• Manage Meraki Switches and firewalls within the network infrastructure.
• Utilize Cisco ISE for network access control, policy enforcement, and secure network access.
• Oversee Azure network components, including Network Virtual Appliances and Virtual Networks, while understanding regions and subscriptions for optimized resource allocation.
• Handle GCP networking services, including VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Armor, and Identity-Aware Proxy, to maintain a robust and secure cloud infrastructure.
