Job summary

Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a PYP Teacher to cover a maternity absence from 11 October to 17 December 2026. You will deliver inquiry-based lessons within the IB PYP framework, following the current Programme of Inquiry and units.

The successful candidate will have QTS or PGCE/PGDE, a Bachelor's degree, IB PYP experience, and excellent English communication to collaborate with staff and families. Commitment to safeguarding and supporting wellbeing of students is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with a recognised teaching qualification and a Bachelor's degree.
• IB PYP experience is required.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver outstanding inquiry-based lessons within the IB PYP framework.
• Pick up existing planning quickly and maintain continuity of learning.
• Collaborate with grade colleagues, specialists and the PYP Coordinator.
• Assess and report on student progress in line with school policy.
• Build positive relationships with students and communicate with parents.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment for all learners.
• Contribute to the wider life of Etqan Global Academy during the cover period.
