Nord Anglia Education is recruiting a MYP Language & Literature Teacher (English) for Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar. The role requires a recognised teaching qualification and a degree in English, with proven IB MYP experience and a commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

You will design concept-driven lessons, assess using IB criteria and support students toward MYP eAssessment while contributing to pastoral and department life.

Qualifications

• Proven IB MYP experience with Language & Literature.
• Strong literacy and language skills; ability to design inquiry-based lessons.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Language & Literature lessons aligned with the IB MYP curriculum.
• Design engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences developing reading, writing and critical thinking.
• Assess student work using MYP criteria and provide meaningful feedback.
• Create units of inquiry exploring language, literature, global contexts and intercultural perspectives.
• Embed ATL skills and foster a love of reading and language.
• Support preparation for MYP eAssessment in Language & Literature.
• Fulfill Form Tutor responsibilities and contribute to pastoral life of the school.
• Contribute positively to the English department and wider school community.
