Job summary

Nord Anglia Education in Doha is seeking a skilled MYP Language & Literature Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA). You will deliver IB MYP English, design inquiry-based lessons, and assess student progress in a demanding international setting.

The role emphasizes planning, differentiation, safeguarding, and preparing students for MYP eAssessment. A PGCE/QTS/B.Ed or equivalent and a degree in English are required, with IB MYP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent).
• Degree in English, Language & Literature or related subject.
• Experience teaching IB MYP Language & Literature.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Language & Literature lessons aligned with the IB MYP curriculum.
• Design inquiry-based, differentiated learning experiences to develop reading, writing, critical thinking and communication.
• Assess student work using MYP Language & Literature criteria with meaningful feedback.
• Create units of inquiry exploring language, literature, global contexts and intercultural perspectives.
• Embed ATL skills and foster a love of reading and language across the school.
