Job summary

Employment in Qatar is seeking an accomplished Project Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of hyperscale and large-scale data centre projects across the MENA region, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, budget, and top-quality outcomes.

You will provide strategic direction through planning to handover, manage multidisciplinary teams, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and champion health, safety, quality and environmental excellence while driving commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Construction/PM degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years delivering large-scale construction projects, including mission-critical facilities.
• Proven track record leading hyperscale or major data centre developments.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in EPC/PMC/client environments.
• Knowledge of data centre delivery: critical power, cooling, commissioning, resilience.
• Experience with international contracts and large, dispersed teams.
• Middle East experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for hyperscale and large-scale data centre delivery.
• Oversee design management, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Set project strategy, governance, and delivery methodologies.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including PMs, design/construction managers, commercial and technicians.
• Manage schedules, budgets, risk registers and resource allocation across streams.
• Act as primary contact for clients, senior stakeholders, and partners.
• Drive stakeholder engagement with hyperscale operators and partners.
• Champion health, safety, quality, and environmental excellence.
• Oversee commercial performance including contracts, changes, and finance reporting.
• Monitor performance against milestones and implement corrective actions.
• Lead governance meetings and executive reporting.
• Support commissioning strategies and transition to client operations.
• Promote collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
