Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up equipment for hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of pipelines, vessels, and pressure systems.
  • Conduct pre-test inspections to ensure readiness and safety.
  • Perform hydrotest procedures according to project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Monitor pressure, temperature, and flow to detect leaks or abnormalities.
  • Isolate and relieve pressure safely after testing.
  • Record and report test results and discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Assist in maintenance and calibration of testing equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during testing.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, supervisors, and HSE personnel to ensure smooth workflow.

Job Summary

The Hydrotest Technician is responsible for performing hydrostatic and pneumatic testing on pipelines, vessels, tanks, and pressure equipment to ensure system integrity, detect leaks, and verify compliance with project and safety standards. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and accurate documentation of test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up equipment for hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of pipelines, vessels, and pressure systems.
  • Conduct pre-test inspections to ensure systems are ready for testing and all safety precautions are in place.
  • Perform hydrotest procedures according to project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Monitor pressure, temperature, and flow during testing to detect leaks, weaknesses, or abnormalities.
  • Isolate and relieve pressure safely after test completion.
  • Record and report test results, including any discrepancies or failures, to supervisors or engineers.
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all testing activities.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, supervisors, and HSE personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
