Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Qatar seeks a skilled HVAC Technician to install, operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems across residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. The role ensures systems run safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications and standards.

You will diagnose faults, read drawings, and coordinate with engineers while maintaining comprehensive service records and complying with HSE guidelines. Experience in GCC/UAE projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-7 years of hands-on HVAC experience (project/facilities-based).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Experience in GCC/UAE projects preferred.
• Familiar with international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, CIBSE - preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs and FCUs.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
• Ensure refrigerant charging, pressure testing, vacuuming, and leak detection are conducted properly.
• Maintain service reports and maintenance logs.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and other trades; respond to emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and local codes.
