Job summary

Nakilat is seeking a senior HSSE leader to direct health, safety, security and environment activities within its joint ventures in Qatar. You will drive the Integrated Management System governance, set strategic direction and implement programmes that deliver safe, reliable, and compliant operations.

The role requires extensive HSSE programme management, leadership, and communication skills, with experience in marine or shipyard settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS).
• Minimum 10 years in a similar safety leadership role; non-degree with safety qualifications and extensive experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HSSE programmes and ensure they align with Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions IMS.
• Lead enforcement of health, safety, security and environment procedures.
• Plan and run HSSE programmes and campaigns to raise safety culture.
• Provide oversight to IMS content to reduce risk to as low as reasonably practicable.
• Advise on training and interventions to enhance safety awareness and accountability.
• Conduct HSSE reviews quarterly and trigger corrective/preventive actions.
• Act as focal point for external stakeholder communications and best practice.
