Job summary

Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions seeks an experienced HSSE leader to manage Health, Safety, Security and Environment functions. You will align with Nakilat SHEQ and drive the Integrated Management System governance across joint ventures, delivering safe, reliable, and compliant operations in the yard and related facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Safety Management, Engineering or related field
• Certification on Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS)
• 10+ years of experience in HSSE/safety role; 12 years if no degree
• Experience in HSSE management, preferably in marine or shipyard environments

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall HSSE programmes, aligned with IMS governance, for the department within Nakilat Joint Ventures.
• Lead enforcement and monitoring of health, safety, security and environmental procedures across the yard.
• Plan and implement health, safety and environment programmes and campaigns to improve culture and awareness.
• Provide professional oversight to the IMS content to ensure risk is reduced to as low as reasonably practicable.
• Advise on appropriate HSSE training for all staff levels to enhance safety culture and accountability.
• Conduct HSSE Department Reviews quarterly to track progress and implement corrective actions.
• Act as focal point for external stakeholders, implementing recommendations from safety committees or authorities.
