Job summary

SFAI Qatar - Santa Fe Associates is seeking an HSE Superintendent to lead safety programs on site in Qatar. You will suspend unsafe activities, investigate incidents, and implement protective measures to safeguard workers and maintain regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Technical Diploma in a relevant field, NEBOSH IGC, and OSHA/IOSH certifications, with 4–5 years of GCC/MENA experience. First Aid certification is also required to support emergency readiness.

Qualifications

• At least 4–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Develop and implement protective safety measures.
• Investigate workplace accidents to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
• Assess ventilation, lighting and other environmental factors affecting health and performance.
• Develop and maintain hygiene programs.
• Inspect and evaluate environments, equipment and practices for compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Project Engineer to implement control measures for hazardous conditions.
• Conduct safety training and education programs and demonstrate proper use of safety equipment.
• Provide health and safety orientations for new employees.
• Collect samples of dust, gases, vapors and other toxic substances for analysis.

Experience and Education:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the GCC/MENA region.
• Bachelor s Degree OR Technical Diploma (3-year course) in a relevant engineering field.
• NEBOSH IGC certification.
• Certification in one of the following: IOSH Managing Safety, OSHA 30 Hours, or a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current First Aid Certification.
