Job summary

Gulf Contracting Co. in Doha, Qatar, is seeking an experienced HSE professional to lead hazard analyses, safety systems, and regulatory compliance. The role requires 5 to 9 years in HSE, with at least 2 years in brownfield projects and NEBOSH IGC certification.

The successful candidate will develop risk assessments for projects, implement incident investigation procedures, and train staff on HSE best practices across site operations.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) role; at least 2 years in brownfield projects or similar industries.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is required; a Diploma/Certificate in HSE is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HSE principles, industrial safety regulations, and occupational health standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
• Develop and implement safety management systems including incident investigation procedures and work permit systems.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety regulations, occupational health standards, and company policies through site inspections and audits.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop risk assessments for new projects or changes in operations.
• Provide training on HSE best practices to employees at all levels.
