As a housekeeping supervisor, you’re not just ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

As a housekeeping supervisor, you will support the housekeeping department by ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire hotel. Specifically, a housekeeping floor supervisor will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Responsible for smooth operation of the floor assigned.
• Responsible for the performance of housekeeping attendants.
• Supervise housekeeping attendants.
• Organizes and facilitates room making process.
• Daily allocation of rooms and deep cleaning tasks to team members.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors and heart of the house area of the floor.
• Checks the occupied and departure rooms, giving special attention to guest needs.
• Ensures that the entire operation is performed as per the laid down standards.
• To organise immediately the guest needs under intimation to director of housekeeping, assistant executive housekeepers and senior housekeeping supervisors.
• Manage guest requests, including VIP amenities and communicating them to the relevant team members.
• Routine inspection of guest bedrooms to ensure they meet standards.
• Routine inspection of public areas.
• Aware of all room categories and amenities.
• Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Carry out lost and found procedures.
• Report maintenance issues to maintenance/engineering department.
• Assist with training requirements.
• Ensures that damages to hotel properties, furniture and other hotel items are immediately attended and reported to senior managers followed through with a log report at the end of the shift.
• Represent the needs of the team to others in the hotel.
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
• Carry out any other reasonable task set by the hotel's management.
