Job summary

RIXOS is seeking a Public Area Attendant to maintain spotless lobbies, corridors and guest areas in our Doha property. You will sanitize restrooms, clean surfaces and replenish supplies to ensure a pristine first impression for guests.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to lift heavy items and strong teamwork. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is essential to meet guest needs and hotel standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including linens and cleaning equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping procedures and safety standards (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all assigned public areas including restrooms, lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells and back-of-house spaces.
• Vacuum carpets, dust surfaces, polish furniture and clean windows, mirrors and glass doors.
• Replenish supplies in public restrooms and ensure they are consistently clean and stocked.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Empty trash and recycling bins in public and service areas.
• Ensure cleanliness and presentation of entrances, guest areas and exterior walkways.
• Follow safety, security and health procedures at all times.
• Respond to guest requests courteously and promptly or refer them to the appropriate department.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to procedures.
