Job summary

The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort in Doha, Qatar is seeking an Accounts Executive to support daily finance operations, ensure accurate processing, recording, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial transactions in line with hotel policies.

You will assist in revenue verification across hotel outlets, support month-end closing, and help maintain strong financial controls, reporting to the Financial Controller.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accounts Executive or in a similar Finance/Accounting role, preferably within hospitality or a luxury international hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, revenue verification, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
• Familiarity with Opera, Micros, accounting systems, and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail with financial information.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and processes supplier invoices with supporting documents and approvals.
• Records supplier invoices, prepares payments, reconciles statements, and maintains balances.
• Prepares customer invoices, records receipts, and assists with overdue collections.
• Verifies daily revenue from Rooms, F&B, Spa, and other hotel operations against Opera and Micros.
• Prepares journal entries, expense allocations, account reconciliations, and month-end close documentation.
• Maintains complete accounting records and supports Financial Controller with reports.
• Coordinates with hotel departments to gather financial information and documentation.
• Ensures compliance with policies, internal controls, and confidentiality.
