Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to operate and repair advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems within guest rooms and public areas. You will monitor safety systems, read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and support emergency responses to protect guests and property.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent vocational training.
• 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdown.
• Competent Oral and Written English communication skills.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures (fire, medical, bomb threats, leaks, electrical failures).

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
• Monitor meters and readings; log daily activities and issues.
• Attend to maintenance requests from hotel departments.
• Ensure tools and equipment are stored securely and maintained.
• Follow safety procedures to protect guests and associates.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Security and other departments as needed.
