The Head of Business Operations will manage smooth and continuous day-to-day business operations, facilities support, and risk mitigation to maintain operational continuity at Al-Mujadilah. This role involves developing, standardizing, and continuously improving business support processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance across operations and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all governing documents, policies, and procedures, and proactively report and address any operational or financial variances.
- Establish and enforce effective records management and information governance practices to ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility.
- Manage the preparation, and monitoring of Al-Mujadilah’s annual budget, cash flow, and financial performance in alignment with strategic priorities.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, audit readiness, and compliance with applicable financial and regulatory requirements.
- Provide consolidated operational, financial, and performance reports to the Director to support informed decision-making and strategic oversight.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage Human Capital–related functions in collaboration with HC, including annual workforce planning, promotions, staff growth, training and development initiatives, and related HC processes in alignment with approved plans.
- Lead and support special projects and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with Al-Mujadilah’s objectives.
- Manage procurement, vendor engagement, and contract management to ensure value for money, compliance, and service quality.
- Lead and develop business support staff and trainees through effective performance management, professional development, and recognition.
- Ensure the provision of support for special events and facilities related to activities.
- Ensure effective coordination and collaboration across departments to support Al-Mujadilah’s programs, events, and strategic initiatives.
- Identify risks, opportunities for improvement, and innovation within business support functions to strengthen institutional performance and sustainability.
- Oversee the maintenance and management of building facilities and resources.
- Manage procurement and contract negotiations with vendors and service providers.
- Oversee health and safety protocols and emergency preparedness plans.
- Manage the team to ensure the grounds are well maintained, equipped, and lead major construction projects.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field & 6-8 years of relevant full-time work experience, 2 of which at a supervisory level.
- Experience in strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, and budget preparation.
- Experience interacting professionally with a diverse population of executives, managers, and other high-profile individuals, knowledge of protocol & etiquette, and strong diplomatic skills.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

- Familiarity with Governance and development, and with Risk Management
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
Languages:
Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
