Job summary

The St. Regis Doha is seeking a dedicated hospitality professional for Sarab Lounge to support opening and closing operations and ensure premium guest service. You will handle MICROS transactions, banking, and report generation while maintaining brand standards.

As part of the team, you will assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and daily coaching; uphold safety and appearance standards; and deliver the refined service expected from a luxury property in West Bay, Doha.

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, locking doors.
• Record transactions in MICROS and complete closing reports; obtain change and keep bank secure; count bank and drop receipts.
• Communicate with guests and staff to ensure teamwork and optimum service; follow safety and security policies; maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees; uphold company standards and guest service.

Position Summary

Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. Complete all closing reports, including MICROS reports. Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order. Obtain change required for expected business level and keep bank secure at all times. Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, and drop off receipts. Transport bank to/from assigned workstation. Resolve any cash overages or shortages as requested by Accounting. Communicate with guests and other employees and ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service.

Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; and serve as a role model. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
