Qualifications

• Understanding of restaurant operations including seating and reservations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to greet guests professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations and waitlists during busy periods.
• Quick thinking and problem-solving to handle last-minute seating requests.
• Meticulous attention to detail for accurate reservations and clean waiting areas.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests as they arrive, creating a warm atmosphere.
• Coordinate seating based on reservations and availability.
• Maintain waitlist and estimate wait times.
• Assist guests with seating preferences and menu recommendations.
• Manage reservations via booking system and update availability.
• Ensure waiting area cleanliness and organization.
• Coordinate with servers/kitchen for smooth service and relay special requests.
• Address guest concerns professionally and resolve issues.
• Assist staff during peak periods and with beverage/service orders.
• Handle walk-in payments and reconcile cash at shift end.
