Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is inviting applications for an OFR Intern in Doha, Qatar. This role supports the Customs Service team with basic administrative tasks, reviews shipment documents for completeness, and assists in data entry and filing under supervision.

Ideal candidates are students or recent graduates pursuing a diploma or degree in logistics or related fields, with no prior professional experience required, though internship exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Student or recent graduate pursuing a diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification in logistics, supply chain, business administration, international trade, customs studies, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support the Customs Service team with basic administrative and documentation tasks related to import, export, and clearance activities.
• Assist in reviewing shipment documents for completeness, such as invoices, packing lists, certificates, permits, and other clearance-related records.
• Help with data entry, document filing, system updates, and maintaining accurate shipment records under supervision.
• Coordinate internally with customs service colleagues to follow up on pending documents, approvals, and routine clearance requirements.
• Support preparation of simple reports, trackers, and status updates for internal use.
• Learn and follow standard customs clearance procedures, compliance requirements, and company guidelines.
• Escalate any missing information, discrepancies, or unclear documentation to the assigned supervisor or team member.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling customer, shipment, and customs-related information.
