Job summary

TAX Authority in Doha seeks a senior leader to design and implement a comprehensive risk management framework covering organizational, financial, operational, reputational, and cyber risks across GCC operations.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in risk roles within tax or related sectors, deep knowledge of GCC tax laws, strong analytics, and excellent communication; fluency in English is essential, Arabic is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• Master's degree or professional certification in risk management preferred.
• 15+ years proven experience in a risk management role within a tax or related organization.
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and GCC business practices.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and control strategies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessment and analysis across all tax entity functions.
• Develop and maintain a risk register with mitigation strategies.
• Utilize data analytics to monitor effectiveness of risk mitigations.
• Develop a risk management framework tailored to the GCC region.
• Establish risk appetite and tolerance aligned with objectives and regulations.
• Define roles and responsibilities for risk management across the entity.
• Develop and deliver training programs to raise risk awareness.
