Job summary

Chedi Hospitality in Doha is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor with 2–3 years of experience in luxury hotel environments to lead daily operations on assigned floors, ensuring top-tier cleanliness and presentation.

You will train staff, perform room inspections, coordinate with Front Office, manage supplies, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.
• Language: Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Skills: Housekeeping operations, room inspections, guest service, and basic computer systems.
• Experience: 2–3 years in housekeeping; supervisory experience in a luxury hotel preferred.
• Competencies: Leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations on assigned floors and ensure rooms meet cleanliness standards.
• Conduct daily room inspections and ensure guest rooms are cleaned and ready for arrival.
• Allocate assignments and coordinate workloads according to occupancy and requirements.
• Conduct daily briefings and update on VIPs, special requests, guest preferences, and hotel activities.
• Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status, priority rooms, arrivals, departures, and discrepancies.
• Report maintenance issues to Engineering and follow up until completion.
• Monitor supplies and ensure par stock levels are maintained.
• Lead and train the housekeeping team with coaching and feedback.
• Ensure hygiene, safety, and hotel policies are followed.

Job Qualifications

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Hospitality Management is preferred.
2. Language: Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
3. Skills: Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspection standards, guest service, and basic computer systems.
4. Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of Housekeeping experience, preferably with previous supervisory experience in a luxury hotel environment.
5. Competencies: Strong attention to detail, leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Housekeeping Operations

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations on assigned guest floors and ensure rooms and corridors meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Conduct daily room inspections and ensure guest rooms are properly cleaned, maintained, and ready for arrival.
• Allocate daily assignments and coordinate workloads according to occupancy and operational requirements.
• Conduct daily briefings and ensure the team is updated on VIPs, special requests, guest preferences, and hotel activities.
• Ensure guest requests, complaints, and housekeeping-related concerns are handled promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office regarding room status, priority rooms, arrivals, departures, and discrepancies.
• Report and follow up on maintenance issues with Engineering until completion.
• Ensure housekeeping equipment, linen, amenities, and supplies are properly maintained and sufficient par stocks are available.
• Monitor lost and found procedures and ensure compliance with hotel standards.
• Support Public Area operations when required based on operational needs.

2. Team Supervision & Development

• Lead, guide, and motivate Housekeeping team members to maintain high standards of service and productivity.
• Train team members on cleaning procedures, room standards, guest service, safety, and hotel policies.
• Monitor performance and provide regular coaching and feedback.
• Ensure grooming, attendance, conduct, and departmental standards are consistently maintained.
• Support the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper with performance and disciplinary matters when required.

3. Quality & Cost Control

• Ensure cleaning materials, guest supplies, linen, and equipment are used responsibly and wastage is minimized.
• Participate in inventories and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure brand standards and departmental SOPs are consistently followed.

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure hygiene, health and safety, fire, and emergency procedures are followed at all times.
• Ensure chemicals and housekeeping equipment are handled and stored safely.
• Immediately report any hazards, damages, security concerns, or unusual incidents.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
