Job summary

About the Role:

Arkan Marketing Services is hiring a full-time, on-site Fashion Buying & Merchandising Specialist in Doha, Qatar, to support one of our e-commerce accounts within the fashion and luxury sector. The role combines trend research, product selection, buying analysis, supplier coordination, pricing, and product-performance monitoring. The successful candidate will identify commercial opportunities and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations before purchasing decisions are approved and executed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor fashion trends across Tik Tok, Instagram, Snapchat, competitor platforms, and relevant digital channels
• Identify promising products, brands, and new commercial opportunities
• Analyze customer demand, competitor activity, sales performance, and inventory movement
• Prepare structured product recommendations supported by market and trend evidence
• After internal approval, communicate with suppliers and factories to confirm pricing, availability, MOQ, lead times, quality, and sample options
• Compare suppliers and products based on cost, quality, reliability, availability, and market potential
• Audit existing product prices and identify inconsistencies across similar products and variants
• Recommend prices for new and existing products based on landed cost, margins, competitor pricing, and market positioning
• Recommend initial purchasing quantities and restocking requirements
• Monitor product performance and recommend whether to increase, maintain, reprice, reduce, or discontinue products
• Maintain an organized product‑opportunity pipeline and provide regular commercial insights
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Inventory, Finance, and Marketing teams

Requirements:

• Proven experience in fashion or e-commerce buying, merchandising, or category management
• Strong understanding of fashion, luxury products, consumer demand, and digital trends
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset
• Good understanding of pricing, margins, competitor analysis, sales performance, and inventory movement
• Strong supplier and factory communication skills
• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing products, variants, and prices
• Proactive, organized, and capable of working in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage
