Job summary

Amentum seeks a Structures Technician Sub-Amp to advise on operation, maintenance, and recapitalization of facility mechanical and HVAC assets at Al Udeid Air Base, Doha, Qatar. You will manage the asset lifecycle, coordinate with AMP and Sub-AMP, and prepare plans and specifications for bids.

Requires 5+ years experience, AFIT training, and ability to obtain a Secret US Government clearance. US citizenship and valid passport are required.

Qualifications

• Technicians shall have an equivalent of an Air Force minimum 5 level or equal and 5 years’ experience in their respective trades.
• Complete AFIT WENG 200 – Scoping & Estimating, AFIT WENG 440, AFIT WMGT 231 – SMS Builder Level 2 (Assessor Rights), & AFIT WMGT 417 – Activity Management online or live.
• Prior R&O experience and NexGen experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent training & experience.
• Experience with project contracting and construction documents.
• Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office and Project.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Valid driver’s license or international license and US passport.
• Overseas government contracting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advises AMP Managers and staff on asset investment for buildings systems.
• Provide technical guidance to Facilities Structure & Finishes Sub-AMP.
• Manage asset lifecycle for structure, envelope, and interiors.
• Develop inspection, maintenance, repair, sustainment, and recapitalization plans.
• Assist pre-design for new construction and renovations.
• Develop design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specs.
• Oversee construction inspections and submittal reviews.
• Assist with cost estimates and time schedules.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, and contract documents for bids.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental rules.
