Job summary

Facade Today seeks an experienced Facade Designer to lead the design and detailing of aluminum façade systems, curtain walls, windows, doors, glazing systems, and related products.

The role requires extensive GCC experience and involves assisting clients in selecting suitable aluminum systems by offering design options, performance features, technical specifications, and cost-effective solutions based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of GCC experience in aluminum, curtain wall, and façade systems.
• Strong experience in concept design, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, installation details, and project coordination.
• Experience in project pricing, cost estimation, BOQs, and material take-offs is highly preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, BIM, LogiKal, Orgadata, or similar software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concept, shop, fabrication, and installation drawings for façade and aluminum systems.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, sales, production, procurement, and installation teams.
• Prepare material take-offs, cutting lists, project pricing, cost estimates, material submittals, and method statements.
• Conduct site measurements and provide technical support during fabrication and installation.
• Resolve technical issues and ensure designs meet quality, performance, and constructability requirements.
• Mentor junior designers and maintain high technical and drawing standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive GCC experience and will play a key role inassisting clients in selecting the most suitable aluminum systems by recommending design options, performance features, technical specifications, and cost-effective solutions based on project requirements. The role covers the complete project lifecycle, from concept design and technical coordination through fabrication, installation, and project completion. Experience inproject pricing and cost estimationis highly preferred.
