Job summary

QatarEnergy is seeking an experienced Procurement/Expediting professional to ensure on-time delivery of materials for Oil & Gas operations. You will coordinate with suppliers, contractors, freight forwarders, warehouse personnel, and other stakeholders to meet project schedules and emergencies.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in purchasing/expediting, knowledge of INCOTERMS, and strong English communication. SAP and MS Office proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in purchasing and/or expediting, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of technical specifications and international standards for equipment and materials and related certifications.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• MS Office suite (Word/Excel); SAP knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS and import/export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement structured processes to ensure on-time delivery of materials for Oil & Gas operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, manufacturers, freight forwarders, and warehousing teams.
• Act to improve delivery performance to meet emergencies, shutdowns and project schedules.
• Serve as first point of contact for coordinating and reporting shutdown-related material status.

Primary Purpose of the Job

Implement structured process to achieve on-time delivery of materials for Oil & Gas Operations. Frequently coordinates with suppliers/contractors, manufacturers, freight forwarders, warehouse personnel, buyers, MMDG, user departments etc., in meeting on-time delivery objective. Frequently take actions to achieve delivery improvement to meet emergencies, shutdowns and project schedules. First point of contract for coordination and reporting he status of shutdown related materials as well as obtaining resolutions against non-complaint materials (CNR) delivery.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in purchasing and or expediting, preferably in an Oil and Gas environment.
• Knowledge of technical specifications and international standards for equipment and materials and related certifications.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English skills is required.
• Proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Word and MS Excel applications. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of unit of measure, INCOTERMS and general import/export regulations.

Educational Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Technical or Business Diploma, however, university degree is preferred.
