Job summary

QatarEnergy Qatarization is seeking a skilled professional to lead purchasing and expediting for oil and gas operations. You will drive on-time delivery by coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to meet tight shutdown schedules.

The role requires 6+ years in purchasing, strong knowledge of specifications and international standards, and advanced English; SAP experience is preferred and INCOTERMS familiarity is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in purchasing and/or expediting in an Oil & Gas environment.
• Strong knowledge of technical specifications and international standards for equipment and materials and related certifications.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English skills is required; MS Office proficiency; SAP preferred.
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS and general import/export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement structured processes to ensure on-time delivery of materials for Oil & Gas operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, manufacturers, freight forwarders, warehouse personnel, buyers, and internal departments to meet delivery objectives.
• Act to improve delivery performance to meet emergencies, shutdowns, and project schedules.
• Serve as first point of contact for coordination and reporting the status of shutdown-related materials and resolutions against non-complaint materials (CNR) delivery.

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

Implement structured process to achieve on-time delivery of materials for Oil & Gas Operations. Frequently coordinates with suppliers/contractors, manufacturers, freight forwarders, warehouse personnel, buyers, MMDG, user departments etc., in meeting on-time delivery objective. Frequently take actions to achieve delivery improvement to meet emergencies, shutdowns and project schedules. First point of contract for coordination and reporting he status of shutdown related materials as well as obtaining resolutions against non-complaint materials (CNR) delivery.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in purchasing and or expediting, preferably in an Oil and Gas environment.
• Knowledge of technical specifications and international standards for equipment and materials and related certifications.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English skills is required.
• Proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Word and MS Excel applications. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of unit of measure, INCOTERMS and general import/export regulations.

Educational Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Technical or Business Diploma, however, university degree is preferred.
