Job summary

Newrest in Qatar is seeking a pastry chef to prepare a variety of pastry/bakery items such as cakes, cookies, pies and bread, following traditional and modern recipes.

You will supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation, monitor stocks and place orders for baking ingredients, and ensure HSE rules are followed.

The role emphasizes high standards of quality, hygiene, presentation and waste reduction, with active participation in HSE meetings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastries and bakery items such as cakes, cookies, pies and bread.
• Supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
• Monitor stocks for baking ingredients and place orders.
• Ensure HSE rules are followed and hazards reported.
• Maintain high quality, hygienic food with emphasis on presentation and waste reduction.
• Raise HSE awareness by participating in HSE meetings.

Job description

• Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. andmake appropriate orders
• To ensure all HSE rules & procedures are followed, and hazards/nearmiss and accidents are properly reported.
• To ensure quality, quantity and hygienic food is served with particularemphasis on presentation. To try and ensure minimum / no wastage (excess foodbalance).
• To raise HSE/Hazard awareness by actively participating in all HSEmeetings.
