The EU Delegation to the State of Qatar seeks a Press and Information Officer for the Political, Press and Information Section on a fixed-term two-year contract. The post involves coordinating press activities, translating articles, organizing outreach events, and supporting high level meetings and state visits.

The successful candidate will develop media contacts in Doha, monitor local press, manage the Delegation's website and social media, advise on communications and draft reports.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
• 3 years' experience in press/information, media or diplomatic work.
• English and Arabic proficiency; CEFR level C1; other languages are an asset.

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement press and information activities, translate articles, translate op-eds.
• Organise outreach events and assist in high-level meetings and EU state visits.
• Develop media contacts in Qatar, monitor local press and manage website/social media.
