Job summary

The EU Delegation to the State of Qatar, Doha, seeks a Press and Information Officer to support political reporting and media outreach. The role involves coordinating press activities, translating content between English and Arabic, and organizing high-level meetings and events.

Candidates should have a university degree in a relevant field and at least three years' experience in press/information work, with strong English and Arabic skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• University degree in international relations, media, communication, journalism or related field.
• At least 3 years' experience in press and information, media or diplomatic work.
• Excellent command of English and Arabic (CEFR C1).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and implement the Delegation's press and information activities.
• Translate articles and op-eds between Arabic and English; organise outreach events.
• Develop media contacts in Qatar; draft, edit and distribute publications; monitor local press.
• Manage the Delegation's website and social media; advise on communication matters.
