Job summary

The European Union Delegation to the State of Qatar, Doha, invites applications for the position of Press and Information Officer (Local Agent Group I) under a two‑year fixed‑term contract. The successful candidate will report to the Head of the Political, Press and Information Section and contribute to press activities and political reporting.

Requirements include a university degree in international relations, media, or related field, at least three years in press or diplomatic work, fluency

Qualifications

• University degree in international relations, media, communication, journalism or related field.
• At least 3 years in press and information, media or diplomatic work.
• English and Arabic at CEFR level C1 (excellent command).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and implement the Delegation's press and information activities.
• Translate articles to/from Arabic where required, organise outreach events and high-level meetings.
• Develop contacts with Qatar media, monitor local press and manage the Delegation's website/social media.
