Job summary

Client of iPS - Powerful People is seeking an offshore engineer in Qatar to support engine room maintenance and vessel reliability. You will perform rounds, coordinate with senior engineers, and troubleshoot machinery on CSV, DSV, or MPSV vessels.

The role requires competency certificates, offshore sailing time, and DP maintenance exposure to ensure safe and efficient operations aboard offshore platforms.

Qualifications

• A-III/2 Certificate of Competency
• DP Maintenance Certificate (Engine Room)
• BOSIET
• H2S
• ERM
• 12 months effective sailing time onboard CSV, DSV, or MPSV vessels
• 2 months effective sailing time onboard DP2 KPOS vessels
• NOC approved status preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute engine room rounds inspections and planned maintenance activities
• Notify senior engineers of defects and support troubleshooting of machinery systems
• Guarantee reliable operation of engines generators pumps and auxiliary equipment through proactive maintenance
• Implement maintenance tasks in accordance with company and manufacturer procedures
• Nurture a safe working environment by maintaining strong housekeeping and safety standards
• Enhance vessel reliability through effective monitoring of fuel lubrication and cooling systems
• Expand your offshore engineering expertise while supporting DP maintenance activities
• Remain an active member of the engineering team contributing to safe and efficient vessel operations
