Job summary

Gulf Drilling International in Qatar seeks a Lift Boat Captain (Master) for offshore operations aboard DP2 vessels. You will command the vessel, supervise deck and bridge teams, and ensure safe navigation and DP performance under challenging sea conditions.

The ideal candidate holds a Master Unlimited, valid DP Operator certificate, STCW mandatory papers (GMDSS, BRM, AFF, HUET), medical fitness, and BP/OS duties familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ Master rank experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ DP2 Lift Boat / Jack-Up Barge experience.
• Experience on DP2 Lift Boat / Jack-Up Barge is required.

Minimum Experience:

Job-Specific Skills:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in rank as Master.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in rank on DP2 Jack-Up Barges / Lift Boats.

• Suitable DP2 Lift Boat / Jack-Up Barge experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree from a recognized Maritime Academy or University.

• Valid Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency - STCW A-II/2.

• Valid national Certificate of Competency with applicable Flag State endorsement/recognition.

• Valid Full Unlimited DP Operator Certificate issued by the Nautical Institute.

• Valid BOSIET/FOET (with HUET).

• Valid Seafarer Medical Fitness Certificate (STCW I/9).

• Valid Basic Safety Training (STCW A-VI/1).

• Valid Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (STCW A-VI/2-1).
