The role involves maintaining and repairing electrical systems on piling equipment and temporary site installations to support safe and reliable construction operations. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, inspecting electrical components, installing temporary power, adhering to lockout/tagout procedures, and coordinating with maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical maintenance experience on piling projects.
• Experience troubleshooting heavy equipment electrical systems and temporary site installations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use testing instruments.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, isolation procedures, earthing, and protective devices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on piling rigs, forklifts, and associated construction equipment.
• Inspect and maintain wiring, batteries, starter motors, alternators, relays, sensors, and control circuits.
• Install and maintain temporary site power supplies, distribution boards, cables, sockets, and lighting within assigned competency.
• Inspect electrical installations for damaged cables, loose connections, inadequate protection, and other hazards.
• Carry out preventive maintenance per manufacturers’ instructions and site requirements.
• Attend breakdowns and coordinate repairs with mechanics, operators, and supervisors.
• Read electrical diagrams and use testing instruments to identify faults.
• Follow isolation and lockout/tagout procedures before starting work.
• Test repaired systems before returning them to service.
• Maintain inspection and repair records and identify spare parts requirements.
• Report unsafe equipment and support compliance with site HSE procedures.

About the Role

Mandatory Requirements

• Proven electrical maintenance experience on piling projects, including piling rigs and associated equipment.
• A valid Qatar ID (QID) at the time of application.
• Relevant electrical trade certificate or technical diploma.
• Experience troubleshooting heavy equipment electrical systems and temporary construction site installations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use electrical testing instruments.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, isolation procedures, earthing, and protective devices.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with maintenance and construction teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Experience with solar piling rigs and diesel-powered equipment.
• Previous Qatar or GCC construction experience.
• Familiarity with electronic diagnostic systems and equipment control panels.
