Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts’ InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa is seeking an experienced Electrician to maintain and repair electrical systems across a luxury resort in Doha, Qatar.

You will troubleshoot, perform routine maintenance, and support electrical projects to ensure guest comfort and safety, working with the hotel’s multi-disciplinary maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrician in commercial or hospitality environments.
• Relevant electrical certifications and licenses as required by local regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and issues promptly to minimise downtime.
• Install and upgrade electrical systems and equipment as required.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams and hotel departments on electrical needs and projects.
• Be available for emergency call-outs to ensure guest and staff safety.

Your Day to Day

As an Electrician at our luxury hotel and resort, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests and staff.

You will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, performing routine maintenance, and supporting various projects to keep our resort running smoothly.

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and backup generators, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring all repairs meet industry standards
• Install new electrical systems and equipment, including lighting fixtures, outlets, and control panels. Assist with upgrades and modifications as required
• Work closely with other maintenance team members and hotel departments to address electrical needs and support various projects. Provide expert advice on electrical matters as needed
• Be available for emergency call-outs and respond to electrical issues promptly to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests and staff

What We Need From You

• Proven experience as an Electrician, with a strong background in commercial or hospitality environments
• Relevant electrical certifications and licenses as required by local regulations
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently
