Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Doha is seeking a Maintenance Electrician with 2–3 years of hands-on experience to ensure reliable electrical systems in our hotel. You will perform inspections, diagnose faults, and execute repairs in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Join our team to maintain high safety standards, coordinate with engineers, and contribute to guest comfort through proactive electrical maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience as Maintenance Electrician in a hotel or resort.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive work attitude.
• Knowledge of safety standards within hospitality industry.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in equipment and installations
• Perform repair works on wiring, panels, and electrical components
• Install and upgrade electrical systems as per safety and operational standards
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and standards
• Respond to electrical emergencies such as power failures and system breakdowns
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and engineers for effective execution of work
• Follow strict safety procedures while performing electrical tasks
• Stay updated with industry practices, tools, and safety guidelines

Your day-to-day:
