Job summary

Airswift is sourcing a Construction Supervisor (Piping/Structure) for offshore Qatar on a 36-month contract. You will coordinate offshore Brownfield, Shutdown and Hook‑up activities, ensuring safety, quality, integrity and project objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Structural with 8 years on large oil/gas construction projects.
• Experience with offshore operators, EPCs, and brownfield projects.
• Knowledge of piping/structure, fabrication, hook‑up and commissioning.
• Strong safety, quality and regulatory compliance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure offshore safety, quality, and regulatory compliance during execution.
• Coordinate brownfield, shutdown, hook‑up, including commissioning.
• Supervise Contractor/Subcontractor activities to meet contracts and standards.
• Review constructability and technical deliverables from Engineering teams.
• Review progress reports and flag critical issues or delays.
• Lead PTW meetings with OESS and Contractors, ensuring proper documentation.
• Report non‑compliance with QatarEnergy rules to line management.
• Promote safety culture on offshore units and during operations.
• Participate in REX and Lessons Learned activities.

We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Construction Supervisor (Piping/Structure) specialising in offshore compression. This is a long-term contract role working offshore with rotation cycle of 28 days ON / 28 days OFF.

Job Purpose:

Coordinate offshore Brownfield, Shutdown & Hook up Electrical discipline representing the COMPANY, ensuring compliance with Safety, quality, integrity and project objectives. Coordinate with OESS & Operation and Contractors to drive efficient Brownfields, Shutdown and Hook up execution & Commissioning and deliver operational excellence during offshore execution phase.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, protocols, and regulations during offshore execution activities.
• Coordinate and ensure the successful execution of offshore brownfield, shutdown, and hook‑up activities, including commissioning, to meet key project objectives such as safety, quality, asset integrity protection, schedule, and other relevant requirements.
• Supervise and control Contractor/Subcontractor activities related to brownfield and hook‑up execution, mechanical completion, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project documentation, and applicable international standards.
• Review constructability aspects and verify compliance with all technical requirements of deliverables provided by the Engineering, Brownfield, and Hook‑Up Contractors.
• Review Contractors' progress reports and activity reports, highlighting any critical issues, deviations, delays, or performance concerns.
• Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors on all matters related to mechanical completion, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning to ensure effective progress monitoring, follow‑up, and reporting.
• Lead PTW meetings with OESS and Contractors, coordinating with all QE-LNG Hosts to ensure PTWs are issued in strict accordance with approved Method Statements and JSAs.
• Report any discipline‑related concerns or non‑compliance with QatarEnergy rules and requirements to line management.
• Promote and improve the safety culture during offshore execution activities and on marine units (JUBs, workboats, etc.), ensuring all assigned safety actions are followed up and closed out.
• Participate in REX (Return of Experience) and Lessons Learned activities for the Company.

Technical and Business Skills:

• Experience with oil & gas operators, EPC contractors, and offshore construction companies.
• Knowledge of offshore fabrication, installation, brownfield, hook‑up, and commissioning activities.
• Familiar with relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Understanding of offshore facilities, sour gas, and LNG operations.
• Experience in large‑scale Operations and Project organizations.

Qualifications:

• High national diploma – Mechanical or Structural 8 years’ experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook‑up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry.
