Job summary

Swan Global in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer – Inspector to join our Supervision Team. The role focuses on supervising residential electrical works on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, QCS and international codes.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in consultancy, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and is currently based in Qatar. You will inspect, review submittals, conduct testing, and prepare reports while enforcing safety standards on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7–10 years consultancy experience in residential projects.
• Currently based in Qatar with knowledge of QCS and local regulations.
• Experience in site inspections, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor electrical works on site to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and QCS/standards.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.
• Conduct daily site inspections for electrical installations including power and lighting.
• Ensure contractors work meets project requirements and safety standards.
• Report progress, issues and non-conformances to Senior Electrical Engineer and Project Manager.
• Participate in site testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Coordinate with other inspectors and site teams for smooth execution.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain site records and documentation.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental standards on site.

Job Description:

• Inspect and monitor electrical works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and QCS/international standards.

• Conduct daily site inspections for electrical installations including power, lighting, and ELV/low-current systems.
• Ensure contractors work is carried out according to project requirements, codes, and safety standards.
• Report site progress, issues, and non-conformances to the Senior Electrical Engineer and Project Manager.
• Participate in site testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Coordinate with other discipline inspectors and site teams for smooth project execution.
• Support in preparing inspection reports, site records, and technical documentation.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on site.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 7-10 years of consultancy experience, with strong background in residential projects.
• Must be currently based in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of QCS, local authority regulations, and international codes.
• Experience in site inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
