Job summary

Parsons in Qatar seeks a Works Inspector (Drainage) to oversee drainage and related infrastructure construction, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications and contract requirements. Responsibilities include daily site inspections, witnessing testing, maintaining records, and coordinating with Site Engineers, contractors and lab staff to ensure quality and safety.

You will monitor excavation, pipe installation and backfilling, and support handover activities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering required.
• 5 years of experience in construction inspection of drainage and infrastructure projects, including 3 years in a similar role.
• Experience inspecting stormwater drainage systems, sewer networks, pipelines, manholes and related works.
• Knowledge of drainage construction methods and testing requirements.
• Ability to identify construction defects and non-conformances.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections of drainage construction works to verify compliance with drawings, specs and contract requirements.
• Inspect stormwater drainage systems, sewer networks, pipelines, manholes and associated infrastructure.
• Monitor contractor activities for workmanship in line with procedures and quality standards.
• Review and witness site testing activities related to drainage and record inspection results.
• Verify materials delivered to site against approved submittals and project requirements.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Resident Engineers, contractors and lab personnel.
• Identify non-conforming works and report observations and deficiencies.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, site diaries, photographs and project documentation.
• Monitor excavation, trenching, backfilling, pipe installation and reinstatement works.
• Assist in verification of completed works and preparation of punch lists prior to testing and handover.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE requirements and report unsafe conditions on site.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve site issues and support delivery.
• Support QA/QC activities through inspections, observations and documentation.
• Participate in site meetings and provide inspection updates.
