Role Description The Draftsman – Wedding and Event Concept is a full-time, on-site role based in Qatar. This position is responsible for translating wedding and event concepts into detailed technical drawings, layouts, and 2D/3D visual plans that guide production and setup teams. The Draftsman collaborates closely with event designers, planners, and operations staff to understand client requirements, venue constraints, and creative themes, and then develops accurate floor plans, stage designs, décor layouts, and seating arrangements. Daily tasks include preparing and revising CAD drawings, ensuring measurements and specifications are precise, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams regarding materials and installation, and updating documentation based on client feedback or site visits. The role also involves maintaining organized drawing archives, supporting proposal presentations with visual materials, and adhering to safety, quality, and venue regulations in all designs.

Qualifications

• Strong technical drafting skills with proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and experience creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings for events or interior layouts.
• Concept development and visualization abilities, including translating creative ideas into practical designs, space planning, and layout optimization for weddings and large events.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, specifications, and documentation, with the ability to review site conditions and adjust plans accordingly.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with event planners, designers, operations teams, and suppliers, including the ability to interpret briefs and present design options clearly.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain structured archives of drawings and project files.
• Knowledge of event production processes, materials, and basic structural or safety considerations relevant to staging, décor installations, and venue guidelines.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field; prior experience in events, weddings, or hospitality environments is highly beneficial.
• Willingness to work on-site in Qatar, including occasional evening or weekend hours aligned with event schedules
