Job summary

Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar, seeks an enthusiastic DP Mathematics Teacher (Applications & Interpretation) to join our IB World School. The role focuses on delivering DP AI lessons in SL/HL, with emphasis on inquiry-based learning and rigorous assessment preparation.

The successful candidate will have IB DP Mathematics experience, proficiency with GDC and math software, strong differentiation skills, and a commitment to safeguarding student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification and a degree in Mathematics or related discipline.
• Proven experience teaching IB DP Mathematics, ideally AI.
• Knowledge of IB DP assessment, Internal Assessment processes, and examination preparation.
• Ability to use GDC, mathematical software, and technology effectively to support learning.
• Excellent classroom management and differentiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering outstanding DP Mathematics: Applications & Interpretation lessons at SL and/or HL.
• Developing students' mathematical thinking, modelling skills, statistical literacy, and effective use of technology.
• Managing the Internal Assessment (Mathematical Exploration) process with guided support and feedback.
• Preparing students for IB external examinations through rigorous, data-informed teaching.
• Differentiating to meet needs of all learners including EAL.
• Teaching MYP Mathematics when timetabled and maintaining high standards.
• Contributing to the Mathematics department and wider school life.
