Job summary

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a PYP Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar. You will deliver IB PYP units of inquiry, foster inquiry-based learning and support student progress in a collaborative primary team.

The successful candidate will have IB PYP qualifications, classroom experience in an IB setting, and a commitment to safeguarding and professional development. The role emphasizes student-centred learning, differentiation, and strong parent partnerships.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching in an IB PYP school.
• Strong knowledge of the IB PYP curriculum framework and units of inquiry.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated, student-centred lessons.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional development.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare; IB PYP workshop training desirable; international school experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, transdisciplinary units of inquiry in line with the IB PYP framework.
• Create an engaging, inclusive and student-centred classroom environment that promotes agency and curiosity.
• Use formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor progress.
• Collaborate with grade-level and specialist colleagues to plan, reflect and review units of inquiry.
• Embed the IB learner profile, PYP attitudes and all five essential elements in teaching and learning.
• Promote student agency, voice and international-mindedness in all aspects of school life.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and engage them in their child's learning journey.
• Contribute to wider school life, including events, CPD and school improvement activities.
