Job summary

Workato is seeking a Junior Accountant in Doha, Qatar to assist with financial reporting, records maintenance, and compliance. This contract role is suitable for candidates without prior accounting experience, offering a great entry point into finance.

You will support preparation of statements, maintain records, process payables/receivables, and assist with budgeting. English proficiency and a proactive attitude are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• No prior experience required but a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
