Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed a culinary degree or diploma.
• At least three years' proven experience in a professional kitchen.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently.
• Exceptional organizational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high quality dishes according to recipes provided by the restaurant’s head chef.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards at all times while handling food.
• Plan menus in consultation with the head chef.
• Monitor stock levels and order supplies when needed.
• Supervise junior chefs and other kitchen staff.
