Job summary

Venture Gulf Engineering seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily functions across its business divisions in Qatar. You will coordinate with division heads to optimize productivity and costs, analyze performance data, and ensure seamless operations and timely delivery.

The role requires extensive experience in operations management within Oil and Gas, with a proven track record in leading teams, resource planning, and implementing process improvements. 50-year age cap applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• MBA/PG Diploma in Business Management is an advantage.
• Oil and Gas experience is a must.
• Total experience 15+ years with at least 5 years in managerial roles.
• Strong understanding of operational processes and resource planning.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Age should not exceed 50 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Venture Gulf Engineering - Business Divisions to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
• Liaise with Heads of Venture Gulf Engineering Business Divisions to boost productivity and cost efficiency.
• Gather, monitor, analyze operational data and report results to Operations Manager.
• Propose resources needed to ensure business continuity and market competitiveness.
• Identify new business opportunities or product lines within each Division.
• Review tenders, contracts, and agreements as advised.
• Deputize for the Operations Manager when absent and assist in decision making.
• Manage daily activities to meet deadlines with efficient resource allocation.
• Mentor and develop the operations team through guidance and performance reviews.
• Develop and implement operations policies and procedures to comply with standards.

Oversee day-to-day business functions of Venture Gulf Engineering - Business Divisions to ensure smooth and efficient operation, and meeting customer and company expectation.

Liaise with the Heads of Venture Gulf Engineering Business Divisions and identify any botlenecks to boost productivity and cost effectiveness of each Business Unit.

Gather, monitor, maintain and analyze data related to operational performance of each Venture Gulf Engineering Business Unit and report the result to Operations Manager.

Identify and propose relevant resources needed including facility, tools, equipment, information technology and manpower to ensure business continuity and compettiveness in the market.

Identify and propose new business opportunity or product line based on the capabilites of each Business Division.

Review documents related to tender, contracts and agreements as and when advised.

Deputize and/or act the role of Operations Manager in his absence particularly in decision making and solving conflict.

Oversee daily operational activities, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient resource allocation to meet deadlines.

Analyze operational performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Manage and mentor operations team members, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing environment.

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company regulations.

Reports to Operations Manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate of Engineering Degree.
• Post graduate related to Managerial Courses is an advantage.
• Experience in Oil and Gas industry is a must.
• Min. 15 years of total experience with at least 5 years in Managerial or Assistant Managerial Position
• Demonstrates 5+ years of progressive experience in operations management, ideally within a relevant industry.
• Exhibits a strong understanding of operational processes, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Has a proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Maximum of 50 years of age.
• Good knowledge in operations management.
• Knowledge in tender and contracts review.
